Ean is a 13-year-old from Tennessee currently in his 6th year of homeschooling. Eryk’s mother’s support for his academic and personal development beamed through her nomination letter. Sherrye observed: “I have very little involvement with Eryk’s Thinkwell class. Eryk takes pride in doing everything on his own... Thinkwell allows him to stay well ahead of the curve. Given’s mom, TJ, nominated him because she is so proud of his progress using Thinkwell, turning a subject that used to feel stressful into one he loves. She says, "I can’t believe that my son LOVES math now! Before Given started with Thinkwell, math was his least favorite subject. Now math is typically the first subject he eagerly tackles every day!"

Zephyniah’s mom, Pam, nominated him because of how much confidence he has gained from Thinkwell through Algebra 1 into Geometry. With Thinkwell, Zephyniah is flexing his mental math muscles and exceeding his mom’s expectations with his diligence and commitment to learning. Pierce’s mom, Lisa, nominated him for All-Star student because she has been so proud of his initiative as he’s applied himself to independent learning. Like many families, Pierce’s family started homeschooling because of the Covid pandemic. Lisa says: “We never considered homeschooling until the pandemic happened.
