Algebra 1 student, Ean

Ean is a 13-year-old from Tennessee currently in his 6th year of homeschooling. Thinkwell Office Hours instructor Julie Welch nominated Ean after experiencing his love of learning first-hand, saying “Ean is such a joy to have in Office Hours. He not only has an awesome sense of humor, but he also's a hard worker and is always prompt and prepared!” Check out Ean's full story HERE

Algebra 1 student, Kate

Kate is a Thinkwell Algebra 1 student from Kentucky. Kate says she enjoys Dr. Burger's personality, as he makes complex math concepts both relatable and understandable. Kate's Mom says, "I am so proud of Kate's diligence and effort. Kate has shown perseverance and personal responsibility through the challenge of dyscalculia and dyslexia." 8th Grade Math student, Anthony

Congrats to Anthony for this All-Star Student award! Anthony's mom, Jessica, nominated him because she is impressed with how Anthony approaches his work with joy, positivity, and determination. Anthony started with Thinkwell in 6th Grade Math and has continued to grow and learn with Professor Burger since then. Anthony says, “Professor Burger makes math fun to learn." Calculus student, Eryk

Eryk’s mother’s support for his academic and personal development beamed through her nomination letter. Sherrye observed: “I have very little involvement with Eryk’s Thinkwell class. Eryk takes pride in doing everything on his own... Thinkwell allows him to stay well ahead of the curve. His previous Thinkwell Trigonometry class provided such a good education in sin and cos waves that it enabled him to get a bronze medal in the electromagnetic spectrum topic of the Science Olympiad, despite never learning this topic in a science class!” Learn more about Eryk's story HERE.

Precalculus student, Poppy

Poppy was nominated All-Star student by her school because they were impressed with Poppy's ambitious work ethic, dedication, and drive to achieve academic success on her terms while pursuing intense vocational training as a pre-professional dancer. Her instructor says, "Poppy has had a years-long and very enjoyable math relationship with Professor Edward Burger.” Check out Poppy's full story HERE.

Trigonometry student, Given

Given’s mom, TJ, nominated him because she is so proud of his progress using Thinkwell, turning a subject that used to feel stressful into one he loves. She says, "I can’t believe that my son LOVES math now! Before Given started with Thinkwell, math was his least favorite subject. Now math is typically the first subject he eagerly tackles every day!"

Geometry student, Zephyniah

Zephyniah’s mom, Pam, nominated him because of how much confidence he has gained from Thinkwell through Algebra 1 into Geometry. With Thinkwell, Zephyniah is flexing his mental math muscles and exceeding his mom’s expectations with his diligence and commitment to learning. Algebra 2 student, Pierce

Pierce’s mom, Lisa, nominated him for All-Star student because she has been so proud of his initiative as he’s applied himself to independent learning. Like many families, Pierce’s family started homeschooling because of the Covid pandemic. Lisa says: “We never considered homeschooling until the pandemic happened. It was nerve-wracking to make the change, and I wasn't sure how it would go." Pierce has excelled as an independent learner. We couldn't be prouder. See more about Pierce's story HERE.

6th Grade Math student, Mason

Mason's mom, Reesa, nominated him for this award because she wanted to celebrate his academic and personal growth as a homeschool student. She says, "Homeschooling with Thinkwell has allowed us the freedom to make accommodations, which has resulted in Mason's confidence and cooperation." Learn more about Mason's story HERE.

Algebra, Honors Econ & Public Speaking student, Bo

Congratulations to Bo for earning this All-Star award! Bo’s mom nominated her and says that Bo has grown and learned valuable life lessons through the Thinkwell curriculum. She says, "Dedication, perseverance, and staying organized are skills Bo has acquired… I never have to ask Bo if she has completed her assignments and she has grown a love for math!" Algebra, Honors Econ & Public Speaking student, Bella

We're thrilled to award Bella a Thinkwell All-Star student award for her hard work, perseverance, and accomplishments. Bella's Mom says that she has grown and learned valuable life lessons through the Thinkwell curriculum. Honors Algebra 2 student, Story

Story’s Grandparents nominated her because they are extremely proud of her achievements, passing independent Math testing with flying colors and placing two-grade levels above her current grade. They say Story enjoys Thinkwell’s Honors Algebra because it breaks down the lessons and offers both written and video instruction, with plenty of practice exercises and explanations. Percy's mom Claudia nominated her for this award because she is proud of how hard Persephone has worked to adjust to her first year of homeschool. Karis’ mom, Rachel, nominated her for this award because Karis has a dedication and commitment to learning, with an undeniable work ethic. “Karis completed Honors Geometry last year in a timely manner and with excellent scores.
